清洁
- 不要用手触碰机芯，尤其是齿梳 （不小心用手碰了， 就立刻用干布擦去指纹。）
- 打开外盖板，可以看到机芯(拨簧辊轮和簧片的一体化组件) ，然后用毛刷清理尘垢。（但是绝不要碰到調速器和蜗杆）
- 用万能防锈润滑剂，在组件上微喷一层，别喷太多又沾灰尘。那液体会自动渗透到机件缝隙里的。（有效5年内）
- 上发条，八音盒发音应该正常，装回盖板。
保养
- 不要把音乐盒暴露在阳光直射下
- 当音乐盒还在鸣奏的时候，不要去上发条，等到曲子结束后再上。
- 在高温潮湿的地区，最好把音乐盒放在有空调的房间。
- 对于机芯而言，不要用任何可能损坏它的清洁剂。(钟表油，软布，用于清洁电路板的喷剂可以用)。
- 音乐盒机芯最适宜的保存状态是将发条完全松掉。
- 要运输音乐盒的话，要确保机芯停止在曲子的末尾，这样的话齿梳就不会和滚轴的凸针接触，因此可以避免损坏。
